Arctic weddings at Snowhotel Kirkenes

Are you dreaming of a wedding in unique and beautiful surroundings? At Snowhotel Kirkenes, you can get married inside a snow and ice hotel, or enjoy a warm and rustic atmosphere in our restaurant Låven – all surrounded by nature.

A different kind of venue for your big day

We offer a special setting for your celebration, whether you want a small, private ceremony or a gathering with friends and family. We can accommodate up to 50 overnight guests in our cozy Gamme Cabins, and for those looking for something extra special, it’s even possible to stay in the Snowhotel.

Support with planning

We’ll help you plan every detail – from the first meeting to menu tastings and decorations. The venue is available for full-day rental and comes with white tablecloths and practical help with setup. We don’t offer legal ceremonies, but we can help you connect with local officiants.

Spring, summer and autumn are our main wedding seasons

Most weddings here take place in spring, summer and autumn, when the landscape is at its most vibrant and conditions are ideal for both ceremonies and outdoor activities. Winter weddings may be possible on request, but require early booking and special arrangements.

Tailored experiences in the north

In addition to the ceremony, you can enjoy experiences like king crab fishing, husky adventures, the midnight sun or the northern lights – depending on the season. We’re happy to help you create a package that fits your wishes and budget.

THE BASICS:
Dining hall:

Option 1: Høyloftet (2nd floor) - capacity 80 people
Option 2: Teina - capacity 120 people

Option 3: Bingen (1st floor) - capacity 50 people

Overnight:
Cabins: 20 twin cabins, with possibility of extra bed - altogether 50 beds

Snowhotel: 13 rooms, double and quadruple - altogether 39 beds

Guests can switch between sleeping in Snowhotel and cabins.

Ceremony:
We recommend to have it either Høyloftet (2nd floor of our Restaurant, or in the Snowhotel.

If you would like to hold the ceremony in the Snowhotel itself, there is a dome with room for up to 50 persons (standing up).

Activities:

We also have a lot of fun winter activities, including King Crab fishing, Snowmobiling and dogsledding. See all here.

They have single tour capacity from 25 - 40 people, but we can divide in groups and make a nice and smooth alternating program.

And any desirable special arrangements and wishes are of course possible, we would of course try to make the wedding exactly how you want it, it goes without saying.

Booking: Please note to book our whole hotel exclusively for a wedding needs to be done long time in advance, for winter season, minimum 1 year.

Availability: Wedding arrangements are not available in Christmas and New year period. Otherwise most periods are available as long as reserved long enough in advance.
